Respect yourself
What is wealth? Is it being financially satisfied? Of course it is. It may be having enough food, clothing, and shelter, or being able to live a life without any inconvenience. But what is it that brings these things? Is it your job, your education, your relationships, your upbringing, or your personality and abilities? Actually, these factors have little to do with it. The source of abundance has nothing to do with such efforts or talents.
You may be surprised to hear that. Let me conclude. Abundance is who you are. In other words, your abundance is you.
If you are convinced that you are unworthy, you are giving up your abundance. But if you recognize your own worth, if you honor and value yourself, abundance will result.
Honoring and valuing yourself also means striking a balance between giving and receiving. If we only give, we sacrifice and discount ourselves. On the other hand, if all we do is receive, it will lead to arrogance and hubris, resulting in a disregard for life and existence.
You can see that these are simply different vectors. To keep on giving is to make one feel worthless, and to keep on receiving is to make one feel worthless of anything other than oneself.
What arises either way is a sense of worthlessness, and the result is that we lose sight of abundance.
The important thing is to find a balance between giving and receiving.
This is what it means to honor oneself.
If you wonder why you are not rich, take a good look at how you are treating yourself.
It is you who give and lose value.
